Eu Design was established in New York City in August 1999 as a buttons, ribbons, accessories and packaging development company offering both Italian novelties and made in China products.

In these few years we have been able to bridge Chinese efficiency and their adept production styles with Italian craftsmanship and tradition with the goal of manufacturing high quality products at competitive prices servicing clients locally.

In February 2009 EU Design has opened its own button manufacturing facility in Shantou, Guangdong, China in joint venture with long time local partners. The facility is focused on the vertical production of buttons using materials such as Urea and Melamine powders as well as imported natural materials such as Corozo, Real Horn and Shell. The factory is located inside a button manufacturing facility specialized in Polyester (completing the range of products and materials now directly offered to our clientele).

EU Design also represents some of the most prestigious producers of fine lining (Cervotessile Spa) and ribbons made in Italy and it distributes these products through the New York office and representatives in Canada and California (for North America) and the Netherlands (for Europe).

The office in Hong Kong serves EU Design by specializing in product development of accessories and packaging and the distribution of buttons, lining and ribbons sold to the Asian manufacturers of North American and European clients as well as retailers in North America and Europe.

A strong alliance with a buttons manufaturing subcontractor in Italy and the project of setting up a new button factory in Chennai, India in 2011 will further enable our company to serve clients locally assuring continuous improvement in the service.
